General

What does RealData do?

RealData creates a chatbot that answers questions using the public content on your website. It reads the pages listed in your sitemap, prepares that content for question answering, and allows visitors to interact with it conversationally.

What is Tier 1?

Tier 1 is public website ingestion only. The chatbot uses publicly accessible pages from your website. Private documents, password-protected content, and internal systems are not included.

What content is ingested?

RealData ingests publicly accessible pages that appear in your sitemap. If a page is not listed in your sitemap or is not publicly accessible, it will not be included.

How do I update chatbot answers?

Update your website content first, then re-run ingestion from onboarding. The chatbot reflects the most recent ingested version of your site.

Preview & Testing

What is preview chat?

Preview chat allows you to test how your chatbot answers questions before deploying it publicly. It is available in onboarding as the step validation chat.

Who can access preview chat?

Only signed-in account users in the portal can access preview chat.

API Keys & Security

What is an API key?

An API key authorizes requests to your chatbot. Production API keys are used when embedding the chatbot on your live website.

Can I revoke an API key?

Yes. Revoking a key immediately prevents it from being used. Any requests made with a revoked key will return an authorization error.

What is the difference between preview and production keys?

Preview keys are used for testing inside onboarding. Production keys are used when the chatbot is embedded on your public website.

Embedding

How do I add the chatbot to my website?

Generate an embed snippet in the embed generator and add it to your website's HTML. Once added, visitors can begin asking questions.

Will embedding slow down my website?

The embed script loads asynchronously and does not block page rendering.

Billing & Subscription

How is billing handled?

Subscriptions are managed through Stripe and billed monthly.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Are refunds available?

Refunds are handled according to subscription terms. If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact support.

Limitations

Does the chatbot access private data?

No. Tier 1 uses only public website content. It does not access private databases, internal systems, or password-protected pages.

Does RealData train on my website content?

No. Your website content is used only to prepare responses for your chatbot. It is not used to train external models.

Why is my chatbot returning incomplete answers?

The relevant information may not exist clearly on your website. Improve your content structure and re-run ingestion.
